On Friday we drove up to Taupo
We saw cows and sheep on the way
We played in the snow in the mountains
It was an extremely fun day
On Saturday I lined up for North Islands
To compete in the under 12 race
When the gun made a very big BANG!
We set off at a very fast pace
There was only one girl in front of me
And another one close behind
She chased me down to the finish
But that big silver medal was mine.

Maggi Kitchen Showdown.By India
For my homework I have to write a post on the class blog.I decided to write about the cooking competition Me and 3 others did.
On the 6th August Tayla,Maddy,Laurence and I went to Petone to compete in the Maggi Kitchen Showdown. We went with Miss KT in her car at 8:00 that morning and came back at about 12ish.We made a Chicken and Vegetable Risotto Stack and it looked great at the end.
We had 50 minutes to cook our meal and finished with 1 minute to go.The judges all liked it and we only got 2 points of criticism.Tayla made a song up it goes like this:Who are we the Recipeizaaas what are we doing cooking!Tayla and I tried to get Erin to try our food but she refused.(Did i mention Erin Simpson was there)At the end we all got given a certificate and a goody bag.Overall we had an awesome time and I would love to do it again.

Cupcakes For SPCA
On Wednesday the 25th of August we made cupcakes for SPCA. we had lots of different cupcakes but me and my Kate made biscuits. It was really fun making the biscuits but it was temping to eat the food.
We sold all the food in about 5 minutes. And we ended up raising $164. 30c which is enough money to buy one cage to keep an animal alive from the SPCA.
