Cupcake Day For The SPCA

On Thursday the 26th of August we fund raised money for the SPCA
by making and selling cupcakes .
We sold the cupcakes at the quad at lunch for $1 dollar and 50 cents
We made a whopping $164 dollars and 30 cents and it just took over
5 minute which means a lot of people were there and they bought a lot of cupcakes.
The cupcakes my class made looked like cookie monsters ,blue, yellow and
pink cupcakes and even pancakes .
We raised enough money to sponsor cats and dogs cages for the to play and
sleep in ,we are so pleased of what we acheived and next week the people from the SPCA
are coming to our class on Thursday in the morning with some cats and dogs
so thank you to the people who bought cupcakes .

Cross Country by Brandon

Go! Go! Go!.

It was the day of the cross-country and everyone was so excited and bored at the same time, the whole school was in the hall. Mr.Westphall and Mr.O,Carrol stood and talked about the rules and blah! Blah! Blah! All I could hear was the school moaning and groaning so all I thought about was please get this over with very very fast. Finally the year 7 boys got up and walked out of the hall. I wasn't scared or nervous because I'd done it 6 times already.

As we lined up I heard the horn and I was off. For a while I slowed down to the back of the year 7s so I could jog the whole race. As I was doing it I almost tripped up but I just kept my balance. Just when I finished the block part of the race my heart was getting so puffed out I nearly had a heart attack. When I ran to the end of the tunnel I was nearly at the end of the race. I ran through the tunnel. I saw Jesse so I caught up with him and we sprinted to the finish. Although I came 80th it was a great feeling WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!

Running Makes Me Happy by Jess

Sweat dripping down my red burning face, water splashing on my butt, my heart is pounding and my throat is aching. Mud everywhere on my pants and in my hair. My stitch is getting worse but I'm almost there. I need to stop but it's too late now becaused I'm only 400 metres from the finish line. As I turn the corner I nearly fall over but luckily my muddy spikes keep me on the soaking green grass.

As I start to sprint my legs start hurting but I'm there, I'm finished. It was all worth doing.

Running by Gus

Bouncing up and down, the wind rushing in my face. Speeding down the hill...My blood boiling and my legs on fire. My heart beats faster and faster still, legs screaming to stop. Lungs expanding like a balloon. I speed around the corner...CRASH!!

Hemisha's scary story

Bella and I looked at the scary house, it looked like a horror movie. It had overgrown gardens, old rusty sheds and cracked paint. The door screeched open by itself. A breeze floated above us, "Ahhh ghost!". Suddenly an old overweight man was smiling at us...
